Boring Timer is designed to be a local application that prioritizes user privacy. We do not collect, store, or transmit any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from your device.
We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized, aggregate data about app performance, such as crash reports, screen views, and button taps (e.g., "Timer Started"). This data does not identify you personally. All routine configurations and timer history are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.
2. Third-Party Services
We use one primary third-party service to help us understand app performance and usage:
- Firebase Analytics (Google): We use this service to gather non-personal usage statistics, diagnose crashes, and measure feature adoption. Firebase Analytics processes data in a way that does not personally identify any user. You can read more about how Google uses data here.
3. Data Storage and Security
- Local Storage: All routine and user-configured data is stored locally within the application sandbox on your device. We have no access to this data.
- Security: We implement standard security practices and rely on the robust security measures provided by Flutter and the operating systems (iOS/Android) for data protection.
4. Children’s Privacy
Boring Timer does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect PII from children under 13. Given that we do not collect any PII, we have no mechanism to distinguish users by age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
